Job summary

iShare Inc. seeks an AVP, Reinsurance Integration & Operations to oversee end-to-end integration, operations and settlements of deals and portfolios.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration across IT, Finance, Operations, Actuarial, Investments and New Business teams to ensure timely processing and compliance with reinsurance requirements. You will manage a high-performing team of senior associates and drive process simplification, controls, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• University degree, MBA or Graduate Degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7+ years of relevant post-qualification experience within re/insurance.
• Expertise in re/insurance transactions structures, processes, systems and controls.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, and STAT reporting standards.
• Experience leading time sensitive client facing projects and proven experience in successful execution.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills and ability to look at all matters creatively and with ingenuity.
• Possess project management, business and collaboration skills, and be responsive to service needs and operational demands.
• Interest in/ability to lead, manage and coach senior associates and associates.
• Proven track record of liaising with a diverse team across multiple departments.
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
• Detail oriented, organized, motivated and results oriented.

Responsibilities

• Participate in onboarding reinsurance deals/transactions from due diligence through closing and transition to BAU processing.
• Collaborate with Counterparties and internal functions across IT, Finance, Operations, Actuarial, Investments and New Business teams.
• Lead reinsurance operations systems & processes, including settlement coordination and treaty reporting requirements.
• Oversee preparation of reinsurance analysis and remittances with proper controls and tracking.
• Lead initiatives with Operations leaders to define the model reinsurance office and KPIs.
• Supervise and coach a team of senior associates and associates.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and enable a high-performing team.
• Simplify, document, and optimize operational and integration processes and playbooks.
• Project manage other operational and strategic initiatives.
