Job summary

TruCapital Partners is seeking an experienced AVP, Excess Casualty to join its underwriting team in a fully remote capacity. This role will underwrite and manage a profitable Excess Casualty portfolio while cultivating relationships with wholesale brokers nationwide.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in Excess Casualty underwriting, a deep knowledge of the marketplace, and a proven track record of disciplined risk selection and profitable growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Excess Casualty underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting complex middle-market and large accounts.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; CPCU or similar designation a plus.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal Excess Casualty business within authority.
• Analyze complex exposures, pricing, and coverage structures.
• Maintain wholesale broker relationships nationwide.
• Drive profitable growth within territories and channels.
• Structure terms, conditions, and pricing for opportunities.
• Monitor portfolio performance and market trends.
• Mentor underwriting team members as needed.
