Job summary

Humana Inc. seeks an AVP of Clinical Program and Product Strategy to lead enterprise-wide clinical strategies and design scalable cross-functional programs from concept to launch, aligning clinical priorities with business goals.

The role collaborates with analytics, engineering, design, and clinical teams to drive improved health outcomes and reduced costs, shaping Humana’s health outcomes agenda across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• 10+ years of strategy and operations development and implementation experience in healthcare.
• Clinical operations expertise across payers and providers, including intersection of care delivery.
• Product leadership directing analytics, engineering, design, and clinical teams to build and scale programs or products.
• Strong business and/or consulting experience.
• Solid business and financial acumen.
• Experience with analytics and use of data.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams on complex projects.
• Process improvement experience.
• Ability to influence and drive improved business outcomes.
• Ability to lead a diverse group toward a common vision with proven motivation and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Drive enterprise-wide clinical strategy, leading a team that develops and executes enterprise-wide clinical strategies to improve health outcomes.
• Lead clinical program and product design, implementation, and scaling from concept through launch and ongoing oversight as programs scale.
• Oversee digital health partnerships strategy, Stars interventions, and specialty strategy in high-cost areas.
• Evolve integrated clinical products to better meet member needs and improve outcomes and costs.
• Collaborate with business leaders, clinicians, product managers, analytics, engineering and design for aligned goals.
• Coordinate strategic partnerships with enterprise stakeholders to develop complex clinical programs.
• Influence senior leaders to coordinate enterprise-wide efforts around high-value opportunities.
• Design, test, and scale cross-functional approaches to improve member experience, outcomes, and cost.
• Provide strategic input and presentations to enterprise forums.
• Influence Humana decision-makers to improve health and reduce costs.
• Exercise independent judgment on complex issues and bring others along.
