Job summary

Crown Innovations is seeking an experienced Aviation Software Verification & Test Engineer to support development, verification, and certification of advanced navigation systems. The role requires hands-on testing of software and hardware in safety-critical avionics environments, with focus on DO-178C compliance and traceability.

Ideal candidates bring deep Java development experience, SCADE familiarity, and a proven ability to translate requirements into verifiable test plans.

Qualifications

• Eight years of professional software development, software verification, software testing, or related engineering experience.
• Five years of Java development experience.
• Direct experience supporting DO-178C software development, verification, testing, or certification activities.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing requirements-based software test cases and procedures.
• Experience performing functional, system, integration, or performance testing of avionics systems.
• Experience with navigation avionics, aircraft navigation systems, inertial navigation systems, or related aviation systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and execute software and system test cases, test scripts, and test procedures.
• Perform requirements-based verification of safety critical avionics software.
• Conduct functional, system, integration, and performance testing.
• Verify software behavior against system and software requirements.
• Analyze test results and document anomalies.
