Job summary

Crown Innovations, Inc. is seeking an experienced Aviation Software Verification & Test Engineer to support the verification and certification of advanced navigation systems. The role covers requirements-based testing, regression testing, and collaboration across software, hardware, and systems teams.

The position offers remote work with East Coast hours, up to 10% travel, and full-time employment. Strong DO-178C expertise and Java development are required for this challenging role.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of professional software development, verification or testing experience.
• Minimum five years of Java development experience.
• Direct experience with DO-178C software development, verification, testing or certification.
• Experience developing and executing requirements-based test cases and procedures.
• Experience with avionics software/hardware testing and certification activities.
• Experience with navigation avionics or related systems and FAA processes.
• Ability to translate requirements into executable verification activities and analyze results.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and execute software and system test cases, scripts, and procedures.
• Perform requirements-based verification of safety-critical avionics software.
• Conduct functional, system, integration, and performance testing.
• Verify software behavior against requirements and document anomalies.
• Support software verification throughout the avionics development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software, systems, hardware, and test engineers to resolve issues.
