Job summary

General Motors is seeking a senior leader for the AV Safety Engineering Analytics (AV-SEA) team within the SAFE‑ADS department. You will define, lead, and productionize performance metrics and sufficiency criteria for autonomous driving safety, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver impactful analytics and safety narratives.

You will drive research programs, oversee communications, and mentor a multidisciplinary team while aligning with GM safety goals and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in HumanFactors Engineering, Experimental Psychology, Quantitative Psychology, or similar.
• 10 years of business experience including strategic planning and leading technical or scientific programs.
• 8 years of experience directing programs in ground transportation safety and automated driving systems.

Responsibilities

• Define AV safety analytics strategy and roadmap connecting DDT metrics, SPIs, benchmarking, and safety cases.
• Lead end-to-end safety analyses across AV-SEA programs.
• Mentor and coach AV-SEA team members in strategy and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to align safety analytics with governance and communications.
