Job summary

General Motors seeks a senior AV Safety Analytics Leader to steer the AV-SEA program. You will define analytics strategy, lead cross-functional teams across engineering, safety, legal, and communications, and drive data-informed safety decisions for autonomous driving initiatives.

You will mentor staff, shape KPI definitions, and coordinate with GPSSC and external partners to publish safety analyses and reports. Strong leadership and communications are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree as required in the ad.
• About 10 years of business experience with strategic planning and relationship development.
• 8 years directing programs in ground transportation safety and automated driving systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain an AV safety analytics strategy and roadmap that connects DDT metrics, SPIs, benchmarking, counterfactual modeling, and milestones.
• Ensure DDT safety metrics outputs are discoverable, reproducible, and traceable with clear data lineage and ownership.
• Lead AV‑SEA team in scoping, executing, and reviewing end-to-end safety analyses.
• Translate complex analytic work into clear narratives for executives and stakeholders.
• Oversee internal content and external messaging supporting safety science and analytics activities.
