Job summary

Anthropic seeks an Autonomous Systems Security Engineer to own security for drones, ground robots, and autonomous platforms across data center sites. You will select platforms, define the operating model, qualify operators, and maintain the data path from machine to analyst within a security-first workflow.

You will build integrations for detections, telemetry, and fleet health, and develop sensing for uncrewed systems while ensuring regulatory and safety constraints are met.

Qualifications

• Have engineered autonomous or sensing systems in the field (drones, ground robots, automated vehicles, or RF, radar or optical detection sensors) and verified what they do against real targets.
• Have integrated systems you did not build into a platform that outlives any one of them.
• Read and review code, design the data systems behind security tooling, and build automation using Git and code review.
• Have done this work hands-on for data centers, critical infrastructure or a large hardware fleet.
• Own a domain end to end: set the approach, carry it through with vendors and operators, and run it as a dependably used system.

Responsibilities

• Autonomous security and inspection systems: own drones, ground robots and other autonomous platforms for perimeter patrol and infrastructure inspection.
• Tools, automation and AI agents: build integrations that carry detections and fleet health into the security monitoring platform.
• Detection of uncrewed systems: engineer the sensing and classification with per-site coverage and evidence.
• Security of site automation: engineer controls on automated vehicles and robots for secure operation.
• Regulatory and site constraints: establish what we may sense, fly, record and retain with waivers and local authorities.
