Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an expert in autonomous security engineering to own drones, ground robots, and other platforms for perimeter patrol, incident response, and infrastructure inspection.

You will design system architectures, integrate sensors and AI agents, and ensure fleet health with automated evidence and secure handoffs to authorities. Regular travel to data centers is required; remote US applicants are considered.

Qualifications

• Remote pilot certification and experience flying beyond visual line of sight under a waiver.
• Experience with counter-drone detection, airspace surveillance or air traffic data systems.
• Experience running a robot, drone or automated-vehicle fleet in an industrial, logistics or data center setting.
• Experience securing embedded OT or robotic systems: device identity, network segmentation, update control, logging.
• Experience with physical security operations at large sites or with aviation authorities.
• Have built AI agents or automation that replaced recurring manual work.

Responsibilities

• Own autonomous security and inspection systems: drones, ground robots and platforms for patrol, incident response and infrastructure inspection.
• Build integrations that carry detections, tracks, telemetry and fleet health into security platforms; create tools that triage detections.
• Engineer sensing to identify targets, classify objects, and manage per-site coverage with evidence retained.
• Secure site automation: identity, access, network isolation, data handling, fail-secure behavior and custody.
• Define regulatory boundaries per site and coordinate waivers with authorities.
• Specify vendor requirements, evaluate flights, and ensure compliant delivery of systems.
• Lead end-to-end domain ownership from approach to handoff to operators and authorities.
