Job summary

AIRO Group Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Chief Systems Architect to lead hands-on engineering across our high-growth drone business in the United States.

You will own end-to-end system design, MOSA baselines, and production-grade hardware/software platforms for field-ready autonomous systems. You will guide MBSE processes, drive SWaP-C optimization, and interface with government and commercial customers to deliver proposals and reviews.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in systems engineering/architecture in aerospace/defense/autonomous robotics.
• Proven track record in system-level architecture, payload integration, SWaP-C trade studies.
• Deep MOSA, NDAA compliance, open architecture, ICD experience.
• Hands-on with MBSE tooling and governance tools.
• Leadership across embedded systems, GCS, autonomy, RF, mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Define system boundaries, flight-critical architectures, and standard APIs as the technical authority.
• Architect MOSA baselines, manage ICDs, ensure NDAA compliance.
• Design and integrate UAV platforms including avionics, propulsion, payloads, power, compute.
• Lead SWaP-C optimization across compute, payloads, and power subsystems.
• Implement MBSE workflows (Cameo, Jama, MATLAB/Simulink) for verification and tracing.
• Interface with government/commercial customers for proposals and program reviews.
• Drive platforms through SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR to field-ready autonomous systems.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML and edge computing for mission performance.
