Job summary

Empower AI is seeking an Automation Engineer (Tier 0 Self-Service and RPA) to design and deliver intelligent automation for a Dept. of War IT support program. The role involves ServiceNow automation, AI-powered self-service, and secure coding practices.

This remote position requires eligible U.S. citizenship, active clearance, and willingness to obtain TS eligibility if needed. You will work under an Agile framework to improve deflection, first contact resolution, and overall customer experience.

Qualifications

US citizenship and active Secret clearance to start.
Willing to obtain Top Secret eligibility if required by mission needs.
Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security).
10+ years in software development or automation engineering.
Experience automating IT service management or IT operations.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deliver automation on ITSM platform (ServiceNow, etc.) for ticket intake, routing, and closure.
Engineer and sustain AI-enabled Tier 0 self-service capabilities and AD orchestration.
Develop predictive analytics and AI/ML models on service data to forecast trends.
Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell, Python, Power Automate, REST APIs, and RPA.
Follow Government Agile framework with stakeholder demonstrations and acceptance.
Apply secure coding standards and support RMF evidence.
Measure impact on deflection, FCR, cycle time, and CSAT metrics.
Identify new automation opportunities and mentor other developers.
