Job summary

Alkami Technology is seeking an Automation Engineer II for a remote US role. You will design, build, and maintain API-driven integrations across Slack, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Glean, Google Workspace, and Workato, helping automate complex business processes and extend AI agent capabilities.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in software/automation roles, a CS/IS degree, and strong REST API skills. Proficiency in Google Apps Script and Python/JavaScript is required, with experience in CI/CD

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in a software engineering, automation, or systems integration role with API experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Strong REST API fluency including OAuth and webhooks; debugging with Postman or curl.
• Hands-on with Google Apps Script, triggers, and external APIs for non-engineers.
• Experience with iPaaS platforms (Workato, Zapier, Make) and multi-step workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and maintain API-driven integrations across Slack, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Glean, Google Workspace, Workato and related platforms.
• Design Workato recipes and workflows to automate multi-step processes with proper error handling.
• Develop Google Apps Script automations to extend Sheets, Docs, and Drive and integrate with Salesforce/ServiceNow.
• Develop AI agent capabilities by defining tool schemas and connecting agents to live APIs and knowledge sources.
• Create Slack bots, slash commands, and workflow automations to deliver timely information.
