Job summary

Abode Energy Management is seeking an Automation & Integration Engineer to standardize and own our automation platform, focusing on n8n workflows and reliable, well-documented processes across tools like Calendly, JotForm, SharePoint, Airtable, and Salesforce.

You will design, modernize, and maintain automations with AI-assisted steps and robust error handling while collaborating with program staff to keep data flowing to reporting stacks such as BigQuery and Sigma.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years building production automations or integrations between SaaS systems.
• Strong REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and OAuth 2.0 experience.
• Scripting in JavaScript or Python for API calls and code nodes.
• API integration with Salesforce or Microsoft Graph/SharePoint.
• Good error handling, logging, and documentation habits.
• Ability to explain technical work to non-technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain n8n workflows for program intake, scheduling, surveys, and reporting.
• Modernize automations onto n8n with tests and rollback plans.
• Integrate Salesforce, JotForm, SharePoint, Airtable, and Calendly via REST/webhooks/OAuth.
• Build AI-assisted steps with Claude for extraction, classification, and summarization.
• Set standards for error handling, logging, and alerting; fix issues promptly.
• Own Abode’s automations with documentation and runbooks for backup coverage.
• Gather requirements from staff and translate into maintainable workflows.
• Manage credentials and access securely per data security policies.
• Support data flows into BigQuery and Sigma; identify new automation opportunities.
