Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking an Automated Test Engineer (ATE) to join their remote team supporting Veterans Affairs projects. The role requires hands-on testing across web, API, and IT systems and a strong emphasis on quality and reliability.

You will develop test plans, write test cases, execute tests, and report results. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software testing, experience with CI/CD, Selenium, JUnit, and a US citizenship with a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in C#, Java, or Python.
• Proven track record on complex software projects with quality deliverables.
• Experience in manual and automated testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and SDLC.
• Experience with CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
• Develop test plans, test schedule, and approach.
• Write test cases and scripts and identify data for test scenarios.
• Conduct walkthroughs with Test Managers and Leads.
• Perform and lead tests to ensure proper operation and defect-free software.
• Document and communicate test results and metrics.
• Support analysis of test results and resolution of issues.
• Mentor junior testers and guide test activities.
