Job summary

Midwest Family Mutual Insurance Company in Urbandale, IA is seeking an experienced Auto Material Damage Adjuster to handle non-injury auto claims across multiple jurisdictions. You will investigate losses, determine coverage, evaluate damage, establish reserves, and settle claims promptly and fairly.

This is a full-time, work-from-home position, offering flexible scheduling and opportunities to collaborate with agents, repair facilities, and lienholders while staying current with state-specific

Qualifications

• Two years of experience handling automobile total loss or material-damage claims.
• Experience handling claims across multiple states preferred.
• College degree is a plus.
• AIC/CPCU designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate auto claims to determine coverage and liability.
• Obtain statements from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and others.
• Review policy language and state-specific claim requirements.
• Evaluate vehicle damage using estimates, photos, and valuation reports.
• Handle total-loss claims including settlement negotiations and title documentation.
• Establish and maintain claim reserves and communicate with involved parties.
