Job summary

Upgrade is seeking a Dealer Development Manager to build and manage dealership partnerships across the US, with residency in the Portland area preferred. You will collaborate with underwriting to structure deals, educate dealers on guidelines, and drive monthly funding while growing territory production.

You’ll conduct regular dealer visits, onboard new partners, and manage activity through Salesforce, aiming to exceed growth and profitability targets in a dynamic, remote-work environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of indirect auto finance or related field.
• Strong understanding of credit tiers and loan structuring.
• Proven ability to build relationships and drive sales growth.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with strong time management and territory planning.
• Ability to travel locally for field time.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with dealer partners.
• Act as trusted advisor to dealership owners, GMs, and F&I managers.
• Conduct regular in-person dealership visits based on a structured drive schedule.
• Deliver consistent follow-up and service to ensure dealer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Identify, onboard, and activate new dealer partners.
• Drive dealer sign-ups and first deals.
• Re-engage inactive dealers and return them to production.
• Execute onboarding training to ensure dealers understand programs and systems.
• Achieve monthly funding and application volume goals.
• Increase contracts per active dealer and territory production.
• Drive penetration targets per dealer per month.
• Maintain CRM activity and analyze territory performance.
