Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC seeks an ADDM Abstractor in Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid). The role supports the ADDM Network by abstracting medical and education records for children with autism and serves as an educational resource to health care providers and facilities.

The position is remote with some travel, lasts 3 months, and requires REDCap and EMR experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with program staff and clinicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Genetics, Nursing, Early childhood education/develop, Special Education, or closely related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Experience with database systems and web-based applications including REDCap, electronic medical records, and electronic education records is required.
• Background in autism spectrum disorder or special education.
• Experience working with hospital staff and physicians.
• Clinical/medical abstraction experience.
• Remote work from home and supervision by ADDM Project Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Complete abstractions on medical and education records of children reported with autism or suspected of autism.
• Serve as an educational resource to the public, health care providers and birthing facilities.
• Work with REDCap, electronic medical records, and electronic education records.
• Work remotely to complete medical chart abstractions for ADDM network.
• Collaborate with ADDM program staff on initiatives, development, and funding opportunities.
• Participate in ADDM calls as required.
• Collaborate with other IDOH programs on larger scale projects related to autism.
• Assist in development of education materials and webpage content.
• Update and maintain hospital contact list to request medical records and remote access.
• Update and maintain standard internal documents for ADDM project.
• Triage public concerns and forward to appropriate staff.
