Job summary

Talent Portus is seeking an ADDM Abstractor for an onsite role in Indianapolis, IN. The position involves daily chart abstractions for CDC ADDM Network, remote work from home is not specified, with supervision by the ADDM Project Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field, have experience with database systems and medical records, and possess strong communication skills. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in public health, early childhood, education or related field.
• Experience with database systems and web-based applications is preferred.
• Clinical abstraction experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of developmental disorders is preferred.
• Experience working with hospital staff and physicians is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Complete abstractions daily to comply with CDC ADDM Network requirements.
• Collaborate with ADDM program staff on initiatives and funding opportunities.
• Participate in ADDM calls as required.
• Collaborate with IDOH programs on larger projects related to autism.
• Assist in developing education materials and webpage content.
• Update and maintain hospital contact lists and medical record access.
• Maintain internal ADDM project documents.
• Triaging public concerns and directing to staff.
