TEEMA seeks an Remote Audit Senior / Supervisor for the nonprofit & public sector, based remotely with potential ties to Troy, Michigan. You will lead day-to-day audit engagements, guide staff, and serve as a key contact for nonprofit and government clients across Single Audits and related compliance.

This role emphasizes GAAP/GASB knowledge, strong communication, and remote collaboration, with opportunities for advancement and involvement in a team recognized for public-sector excellence.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of external audit experience at a CPA firm.
• Hands-on experience with nonprofit engagements and Single Audits.
• Government audit experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, Government Auditing Standards, and Uniform Guidance; GASB knowledge is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline.
• CPA designation or progress toward licensure preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly, manage deadlines, and support staff remotely.

Responsibilities

• Organizing audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting for nonprofit and government clients.
• Conducting Single Audits, including federal program compliance and internal control testing.
• Reviewing supporting documentation, workpapers, and financial statements.
• Identifying audit issues and helping develop clear findings and recommendations.
• Coaching associates and coordinating assignments to meet engagement milestones.
• Working with managers and partners to deliver thorough, timely client service.
