CS&L CPAs is seeking an Audit Senior focused on Governmental & Nonprofit engagements. This remote role with travel to Bradenton, FL offers hybrid flexibility, and potential on-site weeks during peak periods.

You will lead audit engagements, mentor staff, and work with governmental and nonprofit clients to ensure compliance with GASB and GAAS while delivering high-quality client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5-8+ years of audit experience in public accounting.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with GASB standards for governmental financial statements.
• Experience with nonprofit or governmental audits.
• Proficiency with MS Office and online research tools.
• CPA license (or progress toward licensure) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day audit engagements for government and nonprofit clients.
• Serve as in-charge auditor, design audit procedures, and prepare statements.
• Apply CS&L's audit methodology and communicate matters to leadership.
• Mentor audit staff and collaborate with clients for information flow.
• Research new accounting standards and share knowledge with the team.
• Support scheduling, training, and other administrative functions.
