Job summary

Pindrop is seeking an Audio Annotation Analyst to support the Research team by reviewing and annotating audio recordings, video content, and related interaction data to enhance fraud detection and deepfake technologies.

You will produce precise annotations, follow project guidelines, and collaborate with Research Scientists to address edge cases while ensuring data privacy and security. This remote-first role blends focused work with occasional on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform high-volume, repetitive annotation and review tasks.
• Follow detailed guidelines and document observations clearly.
• Experience with spreadsheets for organizing, categorizing, and reviewing data.
• Strong written communication and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and annotate audio recordings, video content, and associated interaction data, assigning accurate labels based on project-specific guidelines and classification criteria.
• Apply established classification criteria to identify potential fraud indicators, authentication outcomes, and characteristics of human-generated vs. synthetic content.
• Maintain high-quality datasets by reviewing existing labels for discrepancies and ensuring consistent labeling across projects.
• Flag difficult-to-classify interactions and document observations, collaborating with Research Scientists to resolve edge cases.
• Support investigations by reviewing interactions to identify issues such as background noise or IVR process gaps.
• Summarize findings and recurring patterns to support model improvements and research analysis.
• Handle sensitive data responsibly, following privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
