Job summary

NEW Solutions seeks an Attorney Advisor to support the Office of Policy, Management and Budget (PMB) in probate matters and hearings. The position can be remote within 50 miles of a DOI site, funded for up to 1430 hours.

Requirements include a J.D. (LL.B. acceptable) with at least 15 years of attorney experience, probate law familiarity, and proficiency with Windows and MS Office. You will assist ALJs and IPJs, manage hearings, and apply agency rules in a limited advisory role.

Qualifications

• J.D./LL.B with at least 15 years in attorney roles.
• Active bar license is required.
• Experience with probate law is a plus.
• Proficient in Windows and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support ALJs and IPJs in in-person or virtual hearings.
• Apply specialized rules of practice and manage case dockets.
• Administer oaths and conduct evidentiary hearings when needed.
• Assist with modernization efforts including electronic filing.
