Job summary

Political Asylum Lawyers seeks a Spanish-speaking Representation Staff Attorney located in Orlando, Dallas, or Houston. You will work from home but must live within an hour’s drive of your city’s nondetained Immigration Court(s), appearing there frequently.

You will represent clients in Immigration Court and asylum interviews, focusing on advocacy rather than drafting, with travel across the country required. AI tools will be used to build strong cases, and structured workflows guide your work.

Qualifications

• Spanish-language fluency for effective client communication.
• Experience with or readiness to handle asylum and related relief, including representing clients in Immigration Court hearings and asylum interviews.
• Admission to a U.S. state bar in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients as counsel in Immigration Court and in affirmative asylum interviews, appearing at least twice a week.
• Prepare clients to testify and ensure they are ready for hearings and interviews.
• Develop case strategy for hearings and interviews you handle.
