Job summary

Nationwide is seeking an Associate State Product Manager – Personal Lines. The role develops and executes state-specific strategies to drive top and bottom-line performance, collaborating with Marketing, Operations, Claims, Pricing, Underwriting, Legal and IT.

You will translate data into actionable insights, prepare planning materials for monthly and quarterly reviews, and build knowledge of assigned state markets while pursuing CPCU or related designations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, actuarial science, mathematics, risk management, economics, finance, accounting, business administration or related field preferred.
• Progress toward or completion of CPCU, AU CIC, INS ARM, Actuarial exams or similar designations preferred.
• Six years of experience in underwriting or product preferred.
• Cross-functional experience and data analysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing state strategies with financial planning, rate reviews, and market development.
• Prepare and analyze reports on product performance, pricing, underwriting trends, and market dynamics.
• Develop planning documents and review materials for monthly and quarterly state performance meetings.
• Integrate competitive intelligence into pricing and product positioning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of initiatives.
• Track project timelines to support speed-to-market for updates.
• Communicate findings to State Manager and stakeholders.
• Develop knowledge of state markets and competitor strategies.
• Participate in professional development and mentorship for future leadership.
