Job summary

impact.com is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join a Santa Barbara team, contributing to the commerce partnership platform using Java and Spring. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality code that powers our industry-leading platform.

The role emphasizes building meaningful tests, working in an Agile environment, and growing skills in cloud platforms and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Java and MySQL.
• Knowledge of Spring Framework.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).

Responsibilities

• Develop & Maintain: Write clean, maintainable code for the impact.com platform, working both independently and while pair programming with senior engineers.
• Build & Test: Create unit, functional, and integration tests to ensure quality and reliability.
• Collaborate & Deliver: Participate in Agile/Scrum with distributed teams to meet squad objectives.
• Triage & Support: Help maintain platform health by triaging bug reports and fixes.
• Learn & Grow: Grow expertise in squad technologies and onboard new teammates.
