Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager to oversee assigned portfolio(s) and support the NST Portfolio Management Team Lead, Regional Credit Officer, and Relationship Managers in underwriting, portfolio management, and monitoring of loans and customer relationships.

You will prepare portfolio reports, assist with risk reviews, analyze financial data, and collaborate to optimize revenues while maintaining credit quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or related business field or equivalent year's work experience.
• 1+ year of commercial/middle market credit analysis or underwriting experience.
• Strong analytical ability and an understanding of the analysis of commercial financials.
• Knowledge of the state and federal laws and compliance regulations for commercial loans.
• A high level of verbal and written communication skills to convey credit worthiness and recommendations.
• MBA in Finance or Accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with portfolio reporting, exposure tracking, trend analysis, and MIS reporting.
• Support reviews of settlement activity, account performance, concentration risk, and portfolio quality metrics.
• Participate in portfolio reviews and credit projects to enhance risk identification and monitoring capabilities.
• Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial and operational information to support portfolio decisions.
• Manage a portfolio of commercial loans and customers in partnership with Relationship Managers and officers.
• Develop and maintain profitable customer relationships by evaluating and mitigating risks and opportunities.
• Grow fees, deposits, and portfolio revenue while ensuring credit quality.
• Underwrite quality and monitor credit quality of assigned portfolio.
• Present proposed credit actions in written analyses and, when needed, verbally.
