Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers seeks an Associate General Counsel, Labor Relations to lead complex labor matters across the company. You will negotiate labor contracts as first chair, defend against ULPs, train supervisors, and advise on CBAs and federal/state labor laws. Travel up to 50% to assigned locations.

Requires a J.D. and 7–10 years in labor and employment law, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and active license to practice law.
• 7–10 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably in both in-house and law firm settings.
• Ability to analyze complex business processes and data and apply legal requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Influence at the executive level by initiating cross-functional labor policy projects.
• Advise HR and management on complex labor relations matters.
• Lead negotiation of labor agreements and defend against ULPs.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws across facilities.
