UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Associate General Counsel to provide legal advice on health benefits, insurance, contracts and regulatory matters. The role is remote, with in-office days for Minneapolis or DC area four days per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience.
• Experience with regulatory agencies, providers, and/or clinical delivery.
• Advanced negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Utilization Management function across lines of business
• Support Enterprise Clinical Services and Clinical Appeals, including review of policies and procedures
• Counsel senior management on strategic business initiatives
• Proactively identify and resolve legal matters
• Develop best practices for addressing emerging legal and business risks
• Support the development of new clinical programs
• Collaborate with colleagues across UnitedHealth Group’s legal and compliance departments
• Help foster key regulatory relationships
• Assist in the review, preparation and negotiation of various products, documents and contracts
