Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Associate General Counsel to provide legal and regulatory support for the company's pharmacy operations across the United States. You will work with business leaders and Compliance, Regulatory Affairs and Licensing teams to address regulatory matters, inspections and new product structures.

Requirements include a JD, active U.S. license, and 5+ years in health care regulatory practice.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of health care regulatory practice experience.
• Experience providing legal research, analysis and advice within complex federal and state regulatory frameworks.
• Experience drafting and reviewing contracts, policies and other business documents.
• Ability to balance regulatory risk with business objectives and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice on pharmacy regulatory, operational and transactional matters.
• Advise on federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations and regulators’ requirements.
• Support responses to inspections, inquiries and enforcement actions.
• Conduct legal research and translate findings into actionable guidance for partners.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Regulatory Affairs and Licensing teams on risk management.
• Review new products and programs for compliance across jurisdictions.
• Draft and review contracts, policies and training materials within regulatory frameworks.
• Educate business partners on regulatory requirements and best practices.
