Verndale is a digital experience agency seeking an Associate Director, Content Strategy in Canada. This senior, client-facing role leads enterprise content programs across discovery, design, build, migration, governance, AI search, personalization, and performance.

The ideal candidate is strategic, hands-on, and capable of turning content strategy into a governed system that drives discoverability and measurable business impact, including AI-driven initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in content strategy, content design, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading workstreams and mentoring content strategists.
• Deep experience across editorial, UX, and delivery content strategy.
• Knowledge of CMS platforms and enterprise digital transformation.
• Ability to create taxonomies, metadata models, and information architecture.
• AI fluency with generative AI and LLM-based tools.
• Ability to scope and estimate content strategy work for proposals and engagements.
• Strong writing and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsabilités

• Lead content strategy workstreams across discovery, design, build, migration, and optimization.
• Oversee editorial content strategy, audits, taxonomy, and planning.
• Drive UX content strategy, content audits, taxonomies, and content planning.
• Govern content workflows, migration support, and authoring guidance.
• Facilitate client workshops and align content decisions with business goals.
• Present recommendations to marketing, digital, technology, and executives.
• Define AI-enabled content approaches and governance for measurable impact.
