Job summary

Novartis Group of Companies seeks an Associate Director to lead AI Foundations Engineering for an agentic AI platform. This remote role oversees architecture, design, deployment, and ongoing optimization across the AI lifecycle.

You will partner with product, data, architecture, security, and business teams to translate emerging AI capabilities into scalable, secure solutions, guiding teams and delivering high-impact business outcomes from anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in technology leadership, solution architecture, or related roles.
• Proven ability to translate early-stage concepts into functional prototypes or PoCs.
• Strong knowledge across modern app development, cloud, data, and AI technologies.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical efforts and aligning with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and engineering delivery of the agentic AI platform.
• Transform products and workflows into scalable AI-enabled capabilities.
• Oversee end-to-end AI engineering operations including deployment and monitoring.
• Define technical roadmaps, platform standards, and solution priorities.
• Establish engineering practices for performance, security, governance, and maintainability.
• Guide evaluation and optimization of AI models and orchestration frameworks.
• Mentor and lead high-performing engineering teams and foster innovation.
• Identify opportunities for reusable AI services and operational efficiencies.
