Job summary

Novartis Group of Companies seeks an Associate Director, Agentic AI PoC Lead to rapidly design, develop, and validate agentic AI proofs-of-concept across the enterprise. This role partners with business, product, architecture, and engineering teams to transform AI capabilities into validated solutions for industrialization by the Agentic Factory.

Remote within the United States with up to 10% travel; two positions are available.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience building AI, ML, or software engineering solutions, including hands-on generative AI development.
• Experience with LLMs, agent frameworks, RAG, vector databases, Python, APIs, cloud platforms, and AI orchestration technologies.
• Strong prototyping and software engineering skills to rapidly build and validate concepts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to translate innovation into business value.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of high-impact AI PoCs from ideation through technical validation.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where autonomous AI agents create measurable value.
• Design and implement prototype solutions using LLMs, multi-agent frameworks, RAG, orchestration platforms, and modern AI tooling.
• Collaborate with AI Architecture, Product and Engineering teams to transition PoCs into production roadmaps.
• Establish repeatable methodologies, evaluation criteria, and technical documentation for AI experimentation.
• Assess emerging AI technologies and recommend new capabilities for the enterprise AI roadmap.
• Mentor AI engineers and foster a culture of experimentation and rapid learning.
