Ladders is seeking an Associate Counsel, Employment to serve as a trusted legal advisor on global employment matters, partnering with HR and business leaders to provide practical guidance on compliance, employee relations, recruiting, and policy development.

This role focuses on shaping people practices as the organization scales, including developing playbooks and advisory support for a global workforce while ensuring alignment with relevant employment laws.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school; admitted and in good standing with a state bar.
• 3+ years of employment and labor law experience, in-house or at a nationally recognized firm.
• Strong knowledge of Title VII, ADA, and FMLA.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on global employment matters, including compliance and recruiting.
• Manage employment-related disputes, complaints, and investigations.
• Draft and negotiate employment agreements and amendments.
• Collaborate with HR to develop people policies.
• Advise on AI use in employment processes.
• Stay updated on global employment laws and regulations.
• Help create and enhance legal playbooks for scaling the function.
