Job summary

Leidos, a global leader in government and commercial solutions, is seeking an Associate Buyer to join its Shared Services Procurement team. You will process purchase requests, issue RFQs, and collaborate with internal customers and suppliers to ensure timely, accurate purchasing across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four years of related experience in procurement or supply chain.
• Experience with government contracting requirements is a plus.
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process routine purchase requests per policies and procedures.
• Issue RFQs to suppliers and assist in evaluating responses.
• Review requisitions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders within authority.
• Communicate with suppliers on pricing and delivery schedules.
• Assist with price analysis, supplier selection, and negotiations.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
• Monitor open orders and resolve order discrepancies.
• Collaborate with program teams and procurement professionals.
• Develop knowledge of FAR requirements and procurement processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service.
• Escalate complex issues to senior buyers for guidance.
