Job summary

Wintersteen Casarez Law Corporation seeks an Associate Attorney to enter the Built to Advocate training program, designed to fast‑track lawyers into workers’ compensation defense. This remote role requires California residence and offers immersive mentorship, live instruction, and structured progression under senior attorneys.

You will manage the defense of workers’ compensation cases, collaborate with insurers and employers, and advance toward partnership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and Juris Doctor degrees are required.
• Member of the State Bar of California is required.
• Superior research, analytical, and negotiating ability.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Commitment to proactive case management.
• Experience in Merus and/or Litify is preferred but not required.
• Experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Attorneys manage the legal defense of workers’ compensation cases from inception to final resolution, including discovery and litigation.
• Work closely with insurance companies, employers, and third‑party administrators.
