Qualifications

• Bachelor's and Juris Doctor degrees are required.
• California license in good standing is preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of workers’ compensation defense experience.
• Prior management or mentoring experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of attorneys and legal staff.
• Provide mentorship, training and performance feedback.
• Oversee case strategy and litigation management.
• Manage workers’ compensation defense from inception to resolution.
• Handle discovery, depositions, settlements, hearings and trial prep.
• Collaborate on workflow, staffing and department growth.
• Maintain strong client relationships and exceptional service.
• Assist with recruiting and developing legal talent.
