Job summary

Soben, a division of Accenture, is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join remotely. You will help develop procurement and commercial strategies across diverse projects, preparing BOQs, cost plans, and tender documents while supporting contract administration and cost reporting.

You’ll collaborate with site teams, clients, and consultants to capture data and manage variations and payments. The role emphasizes CostX-based take-offs, accuracy in measurements, and adherence to industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in cost estimating.
• Proficient use of CostX for estimates, BOQs, and cost reports.
• Experience with take-offs from drawings and software like CostX, Bluebeam, or AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of RICS/CIOB standards and reputable contracts.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Site collaboration experience and data collection for valuations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost plans, and tender documents.
• Perform take-offs and measurements from drawings using CostX, Bluebeam, or AutoCAD.
• Assist with administering NEC/JCT/FIDIC contracts, changes, valuations, and payments.
• Support cost monitoring, budget tracking, and cash flow forecasting.
• Procure materials and subcontractors, including tender analysis and price comparisons.
• Liaise with site teams, clients, and consultants for valuation data and claims.
• Identify cost risks and opportunities for value engineering and disputes avoidance.
