Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team in the construction sector. You will manage budgets and cost estimates for projects, from initial calculations to final figures, ensuring on-budget delivery and contractual compliance.

You will negotiate with suppliers, prepare tender documents, monitor expenditures, and handle variations and claims. A degree in Quantity Surveying and proven experience are required, with strong knowledge of contract

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, FIDIC , and other standard forms of contract.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a project team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and manage all construction project budgets and cost estimates.
• Procure and manage all necessary construction materials and services, negotiating favorable terms with suppliers.
• Track project expenditure and ensure compliance with budget constraints throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare tender documents, analyze bids, and make recommendations for contract awards.
• Manage variations and claims, ensuring fair resolution of contractual disputes.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and verify work completed for payment purposes.
