Job summary

ZP Better Together, LLC seeks a skilled American Sign Language interpreter to provide high-quality video relay service via telecommunication systems. The role requires fluent ASL and spoken English, with adherence to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

Interpreters work on a flexible, telehealth-based schedule (15 hours every 6 weeks) with duties including interpretation for callers, customer service, and professional conduct. Onsite work is optional based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills.
• Accurate interpreting skills and knowledge of the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Three to five years experience in interpreting (preferred but not required).
• Able to pass interpreting skills assessment and New Hire Training.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service and video remote interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company's mission and values.
• Maintain excellent customer service with a respectful and professional attitude.
• Adhere to FCC regulations and company policies; demonstrate adaptability to new technologies.
• Balance interpreting duties with video usage and participate in professional development training.
