Job summary

Cayuse Language Connect, LLC is seeking an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter to provide high-quality interpretation across education, medical, legal, and community settings. The role includes remote and on-site work, with strict confidentiality and RID Code of Conduct adherence.

You will interpret one-on-one and group interactions, use VRI for remote assignments, and collaborate with Deaf individuals and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional ASL interpreting experience in education, medical, community, or legal.
• Bachelor’s Degree in ASL, Linguistics, Deaf Studies, or related field is preferred.
• RID/BEI/CDI certifications or equivalent are required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate ASL-to-English and English-to-ASL interpretation for one-on-one interactions, group settings, and virtual or in-person meetings.
• Utilize Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) and other technologies for remote interpretation.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to RID Code of Professional Conduct.”
• Collaborate with Deaf individuals, colleagues, and staff to ensure effective communication.
• Travel to on-site assignments as needed.
