Job summary

Cayuse Language Connect, LLC is seeking a skilled American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to provide high‑quality ASL interpretation across education, medical, legal, environmental, and social services to support effective communication between Deaf and hearing individuals.

You will interpret one‑on‑one, group, and virtual or in‑person settings, using VRI when required, while upholding RID Code of Conduct and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in ASL, Linguistics, Deaf Studies, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional ASL interpreting experience.
• RID/BEI/CDI certifications or equivalent required.
• Must pass background check and client screenings.
• Willingness to travel for on-site assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate ASL-to-English and English-to-ASL interpretation for one-on-one interactions, group settings, and virtual or in-person meetings.
• Facilitate communication in education, healthcare, legal proceedings, and community services.
• Utilize Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) and other technologies for remote interpretation.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Collaborate with Deaf individuals, colleagues, and staff to ensure seamless communication.
• Perform other language support tasks as assigned.
