Job summary

Cayuse Language Connect, LLC, is seeking a skilled American Sign Language interpreter to provide high-quality ASL interpretation across education, medical, legal, and community settings. The role emphasizes confidentiality, ethical standards, and collaboration with Deaf and hearing individuals.

The position may involve on‑site and remote interpretation, with on‑call duties and potential travel to support assignments. A strong background in DEAF culture and professional certifications is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional ASL interpreting experience in education, medical, community, or legal settings.
• Bachelor’s Degree in ASL, Linguistics, Deaf Studies, or related field strongly preferred.
• Hold RID, BEI, or CDI certification(s).
• Must pass background checks and be eligible for client screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate ASL-to-English and English-to-ASL interpretation for one-on-one, group, and virtual or in-person meetings.
• Facilitate communication across education, healthcare, legal, and community services.
• Utilize VRI and other tech to deliver remote interpretation when required.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to RID Code of Professional Conduct.
