Job summary

The National Forest Foundation is seeking an Arizona Forestry Program Manager to lead forest restoration programs across Northern and Southern Arizona. You will oversee projects on multiple national forests, coordinating with the US Forest Service, funders, and contractors to advance wildfire resilience and restoration priorities.

Responsibilities include managing procurement, field oversight, budgets, and reporting, while supervising staff and promoting collaboration with tribal and community

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in forestry or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of forestry or conservation project management with knowledge of US Forest Service policies.
• Strong understanding of Arizona natural resources issues.
• Commitment to NFF mission and environment.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with US Forest Service, funders, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Lead development and implementation of forest restoration programs and project pipelines.
• Oversee forest restoration project implementation, including procurement and contract administration.
• Serve as Timber Sale Administrator and Harvest Inspector for forestry projects.
• Manage budgets, contracts, reporting, timelines and compliance.
• Monitor and communicate project outcomes to funders and leadership.
• Support fundraising and community engagement to expand restoration work.
• Coordinate wood utilization and biomass removal opportunities and Tribal programs.
• Supervise forestry staff and contractors, providing leadership and mentorship.
