Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking an Area Sales Manager for Southeast US to drive direct sales of technical fibers with key accounts, while coordinating across the Americas. This role emphasizes project pipeline development, regional strategy, and strong customer engagement through on-site and virtual visits.

You will travel up to 50% across the US, Canada and Mexico and collaborate with Europe and Asia teams to expand market presence and profitability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales, business development or marketing experience.
• Background selling textile fibers, ideally with knowledge of spun yarn and/or nonwovens markets.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage customers at a technical level.
• Proven ability to manage a project pipeline, forecast accurately and hit volume, revenue and margin targets.
• Self-driven and organized, comfortable with regular reporting and a high-travel schedule.
• Based in the Southeast near a major airport (home office).

Responsibilities

• Own direct sales for technical fibers across designated key accounts.
• Build and manage a sales project pipeline as the foundation for long-term growth.
• Identify, develop and commercialize new business opportunities in target markets.
• Build long-term relationships with customers and prospects, with around 15 customer visits per month (on-site and virtual).
• Negotiate pricing within established frameworks and resolve customer complaints and technical issues.
• Contribute to market strategy, 1-year and 3-year business plans, and weekly forecasting.
• Coordinate key account and development activity with sales counterparts in Europe and Asia.
• Represent the business at select trade shows, exhibitions and conferences.
• Up to 50% travel, primarily across the US, Canada and Mexico.
