Job summary

MT Talent Solutions Inc. is assisting a global mining leader to fill the position of Area Manager – Mining in the South Western USA, with preference for Arizona. This role combines strategic account leadership, team coaching, and revenue growth across a broad mining territory.

You will lead commercial strategy, build key customer relationships, and drive growth while overseeing a regional team of sales and technical professionals. Travel across North America is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive leadership in sales, business development, account management, or operations in mining/heavy industrial sectors.
• Proven track record managing large customer portfolios and driving revenue growth.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong understanding of mining operations, heavy equipment, or technical solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting, and achieving performance objectives.
• Ability to influence senior decision-makers and build long-term partnerships.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively across North America.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial strategy and business development for a mining territory.
• Build and strengthen relationships with key mining customers and partners.
• Identify new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts.
• Lead, coach, and support a regional team of sales and technical professionals.
• Develop territory sales plans, forecasts, and growth strategies to achieve revenue objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding customer service and project execution.
• Participate in customer meetings, contract negotiations, and strategic business reviews.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new opportunities.
• Represent the organization at customer sites, industry events, and trade shows.
• Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to support customers and business initiatives.
