Qualifications

• Completion of a field school.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years specifically in a Field Director role.
• Permitted or qualified for agency permitting based on the SOI Professional Qualification Standards statewide in Utah.

Responsibilities

• Plan and support cultural resources projects throughout the Great Basin.
• Coordinate fieldwork and assess data collected.
• Serve as a Field Director or Principal Investigator.

Skills

Excellent navigational skills (GPS and compass)

Proficient in prehistoric and/or historic archaeology

Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties

Education

Master's degree in archaeology, anthropology, or closely related field
