Job summary

ERM is seeking a Principal Consultant, Archaeologist based in Nevada to lead cultural resources projects across the Great Basin. You will mentor staff, oversee field investigations, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable solutions for energy and infrastructure clients.

This senior role requires an advanced degree in Anthropology/Archaeology, 6–8 years of experience, and RPA certification, with travel across the Great Basin.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as permitted BLM Principal Investigator in Nevada and surrounding regions.
  • Obtain BLM Cultural Resources Use Permits and other permits required to execute projects.
  • Provide technical QA/QC review of deliverables.
  • Oversee desktop studies and field investigations, including surveys, testing, excavations, and construction monitoring.
  • Lead, supervise, and manage archaeologists across varying experience levels, including hiring, mentoring, and training.
  • Coordinate with Cultural Resources leads, area managers, and managing partners to support delivery.
  • Represent ERM in meetings with clients, teaming partners, subcontractors, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Identify subcontractor needs and manage quality, performance, and scheduling as required.
