Job summary

US Foods is seeking an AR lead to partner with AR management, train a team of AR associates, and ensure accurate recording of payments per SLA and GAAP. The role provides back-up support for management and adherence to internal controls.

The candidate will monitor workflows, coach on complex issues, escalate where needed, and perform multi-system research to support recoveries. This role is fully remote with incentive bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in a high-volume AR processing environment or degree plus two years of experience.
• 1 year of training and guiding associates or prior AR/business management experience.
• Advanced skills with Windows and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Access.
• Strong training, communication and interpersonal skills; able to address escalated situations.
• Excellent customer service, judgment and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workflow and ensure payments are recorded accurately per SLA timelines.
• Coach and train associates on advanced concepts and system applications.
• Provide escalation support for complex payment issues and inquiries.
• Perform research and account analyses using multiple systems and banks; support recoveries.
• Assist management in monitoring internal controls and period-end processes.
• Provide supplemental support to meet daily goals during absences or busy periods.
• Compile documents for legal/audit purposes and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Verify transfers, deductions, and write-offs across markets and regions.
• Record bad debt write-offs accurately and maintain AR records per procedures.
