Job summary

RecruiterForge is seeking a Billing Specialist to manage day-to-day billing, denial management, and payment follow-up for dermatology locations. You will investigate issues delaying submissions and coordinate with payers to resolve them, under the Manager of Accounts Receivable or Senior Director of Credentialing.

Responsibilities include following up on unpaid claims, preparing corrected claims, communicating AR concerns, and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of revenue cycle principles, accounts receivable, denial management, and CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 coding.
• Professional communication skills with attention to detail in a remote environment.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Identify causes of claim denials and resolve them with minimal assistance.
• Analyze denial and payer trends and report recurring issues.
• Follow up on unpaid claims within established billing cycle timeframes.
• Prepare and submit corrected or replacement claims, reconsiderations, appeals, and supporting materials to payers.
• Contact payers to resolve claim and payment issues.
• Ensure patient information is accurate and current in the billing system.
• Meet productivity requirements and external benchmarks.
• Document accounts receivable clearly in the billing system.
• Report AR issues to team lead and assist audits as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of payer policies and guidelines.
• Complete additional revenue cycle duties and projects as assigned.
