Job summary

Upstream Rehabilitation in Birmingham, AL (Remote) is seeking an AR Associate – MVA/Billing Review to help ensure timely reimbursement of aged accounts. You will work with auto insurers and attorneys on Motor Vehicle Accident claims, focusing on accuracy, productivity, and compliant billing.

The role requires 1+ year in revenue cycle operations (Medicare and commercial insurance) and strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 5+ years of revenue cycle experience may be considered in lieu of additional education.
• 1+ years of experience in revenue cycle operations, including Medicare and commercial insurance, in a high-volume production environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review unpaid accounts and take action to receive proper reimbursement; reduce AR balance.
• Ensure payments received are appropriate and in full.
• Meet productivity benchmarks set by supervisor.
• Document all actions and reviews performed.
• Report infractions, errors and breaches when identified.
• Identify and read medical EOBs, make adjustments or transfers, and create tasks for reapplied funds.
